Woodrow Strange, 78, of Travelers Rest died Saturday, January 3, 2009. Born in Greencastle, Indiana, he was the husband of 35 years to Patricia Byers Strange. Mr. Strange was a veteran of the US Army and was self employed. Surviving in addition to his loving wife are four daughters, Wanda Feridan Uyar , Linda Robert Moore, Darlene Chuck Packard, Arlene Daniel Miller; a step-son, James Kim Tollison; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC, 29615. The family will be at their respective homes.
