Bernadine Dowling

Bernadine Carey Dowling, 74, wife of the late Larry Dowling, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Jesse Mae Fincher Carey.

Mrs. Dowling was the office manager at Heritage Lincoln from which she retired. She attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Kellie Martin and husband, Michael, of Greenville, and Kimberley Sentelle and husband, William, of Simpsonville; one son, Keith Dowling and wife, Susan, of Fountain Inn; seven grandchildren, Ashley Martin and wife, Kathryn, Colin Martin, Will Sentelle, Kolby Sentelle, Kaitlin Davenport, Payton Dowling, and Maddie Dowling; three great-grandchildren, Finley Martin, Aven Martin, and Marilyn French; one brother, Paul Carey of Greenville;  niece, Jessica Havens and husband, Mark of Mauldin; as well as her husband’s family, Patricia Gibson, Shirley and Charles Davis, Frances and Jim Kelley, Linda and Jerry Henderson, Tommy and Donna Dowling, Terry Dowling, Jim and Carolyn Dowling, Adrienne and Charles Garrett, Frank and Laura Dowling, Debbie and John Howard, Kathryn Gebler, Theresa Dowling, Trina Kolenich, and Laurie and Keith McBryde.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Kellie Rynn Martin; sister-in-law, Lora Carey; sister-in-law, Becky Clement and husband, Ralph; and brother-in-law, Tim Dowling.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church followed by the Funeral Mass at 3:00 p.m.
