On the morning of January 10th, our dear sweet wife and mother, Connie Goodwin, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family. We all had the joy and privilege of caring for her in her last weeks. We are thankful that most of our family was able to spend time with her at Christmas. We were so blessed to have had a wife and mother who loved the Lord and raised her children to love Him too. She was a true servant, and taught us to serve by her example. She was at peace from the time she learned of her cancer and continued to take every opportunity to share her faith with all who crossed her path. She never lost her sense of humor, even during her final hours. Thank you to the many who prayed with us, and we covet your prayers in the coming weeks. Connie was born in Northville, MI, and was the daughter of the late John and Marie Arthur. She was an active member of Overbrook Gospel Chapel.
Connie is survived by Edward W. Goodwin, her husband of 66 years; daughters Judy Bartlett and husband Peter; Wendy Phelan and husband Matt; Jani Bennett and husband Bob; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister Janice Burdge; and brother-in-law Mal Tanigawa. She was predeceased by sisters Margaret Hurlston and Yaeko Tanigawa.
