Donald Ray Testerman, 65, of Greer, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
Born in Danville, VA, he was a son of the late Arthur Clyde Testerman, Sr. and Mary Mims Testerman.
Donald served in the United States Navy and graduated from Halifax County High School. He played football for Ferrum Junior College and Clemson University before being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles. Donald went on to play for Seattle Washington and Miami. He loved the beach, golf, fishing, going to the YMCA, Beach music, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Donald volunteered as a high school football coach and for charity golf tournaments.
He is survived by two sons, Troy Testerman (Stephanie), of Greer, and Josh Testerman (Shae), of Kennewick, WA; six grandchildren, Trevor, Allyson, Charlie, Taylor, Jude, and Brixton; a brother, Arthur Clyde Testerman, III (Debra); a nephew, Nathan Testerman; and two nieces, Dawn Testerman and Natalie Testerman Long.
Services will be private.
