Elbert Theodore “Snook” Landreth, Sr., 90, widower of Helen Landreth,of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Born on January 24, 1928 to the late James Mallie and Ida Lou Buff Landreth, he was a retired executive at Milliken & Company. “Snook” was a member of Tremont Church of God where he lead the Tremont Church of God Band for many years sharing his love of music. He also loved gardening and playing golf.
He is survived by his two children, Elbert “Ted” Landreth, Jr. (Donna), and Jan L. Riddley (Ron); four grandchildren, Angie, Carrie, Josh and Kayla; 9 great grandchildren, Tillman, Kameron, Chase, Austin, Adam, Ben, Katie, Cruz and Ellie Mae; and a great great-granddaughter, Elaina; sisters, Frances Owens and Linda Landreth.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Thomas Landreth, The Reverend Evan Landreth, David Lee Landreth, John "Nigel" Landreth, Connor Landreth; sister, Ruth Landreth Madden.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Forestville Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Graceland West Cemetery.
