Franklin V. Pace, 79, of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Regency Hospital in Greenville with family at his side.
Formerly of Tryon, NC, he was the son of the late Loton and Molina Waters Pace. Mr. Pace moved to Greenville in the 1970’s where he became a prominent businessman in the trucking industry. He was a member of Scenic Hills Baptist Church in Travelers Rest and had a deep love for missions.
Mr. Pace is survived by his wife Jean of 33 years; daughters Sharon Pace, of Atlanta, and Karen Dacus, of Piedmont; step daughter, Laura Seltz of Easley; four grandchildren, Kyle, Jenna, Anna and Cailyn; a sister, Ruth Foy, of Tryon, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and a sister.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A private service and burial will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
