Fred Elmer Wilson, 83, of Greer, husband of the late Nancy Evans Wilson, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
Born in Gadsden, Alabama, he was a son of the late Samuel Denson and Alma Beatrice Marks Wilson.
Fred is survived by three daughters, Gina Maddox and husband, Chris of York, SC, Lisa Bettis and husband, Harold of Dawsonville, GA, and Tamara Gunnison of Atlanta, GA; step daughter, Penny Evans Pope of Moore, SC; two sisters, Betty Day and husband, Doyce of Wellington, AL and Shirley Fike of Cocoa, FL; five grandchildren, Devin Maddox and wife, Autumn, Kaylee Maddox, Rachel and Daniel Bettis, and Alyssa Gunnison; two great grandchildren, Haven and Bridgette Maddox.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sheila S. Wilson and brother, Samuel Wilson. Arrangements will be announced soon.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Greer First Baptist Church, Parlor with the family greeting friends after the service. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta, GA at a later date.
