I just stumbled upon this and I am so very sorry, I had not heard sooner Gail. Your dad was the sweetest man. I was fortunate to work with him at Hamrick's for five years and I thought the world of him. I miss him terribly. I moved back to Oklahoma in 2007 and lost touch with him and other co workers we had there. I have always thought of him. We called him Mr. John.  If there was something to fix, he could fix it.  God bless and Mr. John, we will meet again one day on the streets of gold dear friend.  Gone, but never forgotten.

Gail, I am so sorry about losing your dad. I did not know he had passed away until last week. He was a dear friend of mine. He was such a loving & giving man. He told me you called every night around 6pm to check on him. I know he is with the Lord. I had not seen him around for several months. I finally asked someone at thrift store & they told me he has passed away. My prayers are with you in this great loss, Judy Hannon - Greenville, SC

I am so sorry for your loss.  may the God [ Psalms 83:18] of all comfort, comfort you at this time. Losing our love ones always make us sad, but thankfully our loving father has provided a means for us to see our love ones again.[ Isaiah 26:19]" Your dead will live" they will live in the Paradise Earth that Jesus promise [Luke 43:23] then there will be no more tears because of the death of our love ones. [ Revelations 21:4]  i hope these words will bring you comfort at this sad time.

My condolences and prayers for the family. My Mother Ruby Johnson loved him so much. The Angels are singing in Heaven today for his arrival. I remember Junior at the many family reunions we all attended for granny’s (Mart E Johnson) Birthday. God Bless all Junior’s family.
