Joseph Lee Quinn, 89, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Rev. James Alonzo Quinn and Annie Gilstrap Quinn. Mr. Quinn served his country in the U.S. Army and was the founder of the United Veterans Association. He loved fishing, traveling, car racing, and helping people in need. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Quinn was self-employed as a building contractor. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Sharon Quinn of Simpsonville; former wife, Amy Barbrey; two grandchildren, Dustin Williams (Amber) of Greenville and Brandi Williams (Michael) of Piedmont; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Williams of Easley; brother, Johnny Quinn of Travelers Rest; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by siblings, Sarah, Hazel, Ruby, Jimmy, and Ray.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 10, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 11th at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial to follow the service in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
