 Maria Alves DePina, 93, wife of the late Francisco Tavares DePina, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019.

  Born in Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Anibal Alves and Maria Videira Carneiro.

  Mrs. DePina was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

  She is survived by her daughters, Celeste Videira and husband, Fernando, of Greer, Fatima Guerra and husband, Arthur, of Palm Coast, FL, Eulalia Bento and husband, Delfim, of Greer, and Christine Pina-Cunha and husband, Fernando Cunha, of Thornwood, NY; sons, Fernando Tavares and wife, Judy, of Somers, NY, and Joseph Pina and wife, Carmen, of France; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

   A Vigil will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 14th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.

  Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 531 S. Main St. Ste ML-10, Greenville, SC 29601.
