Marilyn Poston, 85, of Simpsonville, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.

Mrs. Poston was a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Fox Run Country Club.

She was a registered nurse at Baptist Medical Center and St. Vincent Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. She relocated to Simpsonville and worked as a trauma nurse at GHS until she retired.

She is survived by a sister, Jan Poteet; three nephews, Edwin Robey and wife, Shaunna, Mike Robey and wife, Susan, and Steven Robey and wife, Janice; six great- nieces; and three great- nephews.

In addition to her parents, Horace Guy and Vangie Lee Canipe Peeler, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Lee Robey and her husband, Elbert.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m.
