Marjorie Ann Green, 86, widow of Luther Cecil Green, of Piedmont, died Sunday, November 3, 2019.
Born in Marietta, she was a daughter of the late Wade and Clessie Turner.
Marjorie was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church. She loved her church, church family and being an active member at the church. “Granny” loved her family and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by three children, Cecil C. “Buster” Green (Judy) of Piedmont, Brenda G. Baker (Hunter) of Simpsonville, and Ricky J. Green (Colleen) of Williamston; four grandchildren, Michael Green, Nikki Arroya, Hunter Green, and Will Baker; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Leach.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wade H. Turner; and two sisters, “Sis” Stone, and Jean Eddy.
The visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at Bessie Road Baptist Church, with the funeral service following at 6:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A private burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
