Mildred Evelyn (“Mickey”) Williamson; of 322 E. Blue Ridge Drive, Greenville SC; went home to meet Jesus on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Greenville on August 25, 1932 to Hubert and Elizabeth Prince Cheek. She has been welcomed into Heaven by her parents and her loving husband, the late Bobby J. Williamson; her adored brother, the late James E. Cheek; and her beloved son, the late Robert Joseph (“Joey”) Williamson.
Mrs. Williamson was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company. Mrs. Williamson valued her roles of wife, mother, and “Gamma”; and considered her family and friends to be her greatest blessings. Mrs. Williamson was a spirited member of the celebrated Red Hats Society and was a lifelong volunteer within the Greenville County School system in a variety of roles supporting her children’s educational endeavors.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Randall McAtee, Wanda and C. Phillip McIntyre, Bobbie Wyatt, and Mitzi and Rick Mehaffey; grandchildren Jason (Wendy) McAtee, Amy (Roman) Fletcher, Elizabeth (Jamie) Holcombe, Alicia (Jason) Crutchlow, Kelsey (Stephen) Gunter, Whitney Wyatt, Alexis Mehaffey and Emily Mehaffey; and great grandchildren Ella Holcombe, Ava Holcombe, Addy Holcombe, Grayson Crutchlow, Kayden Saldana, Kamdyn Saldana, Connor Crutchlow and Sophia Cozzoli.
Services for Mrs. Williamson will be held on Monday October 15 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home on North Main Street in Greenville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 to 1:15pm, followed by a 1:30pm funeral service, conducted by Pastor Jamie Holcombe; with burial immediately following at Graceland West Cemetery on White Horse Road, Greenville.
The family is at the home of Brenda and Randall McAtee in Greenville.
