Norman Lee Adams, 74, husband of the late Sandra Joan Mills Adams, of Gray Court, died Sunday, June 18, 2017.

Born in Greenville, he was the oldest son of the late Winston N. Adams and Catherine Taylor Adams Carroll.

Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Army and loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Metcalf and husband, Perry; beloved grandson, Collin Lee Metcalf; brothers, Clifton, Lawrence, and Stephen Carroll; sisters, Catherine Ann Riickert, Amy Scott, and Debbie Jo Smith; twelve nieces and nephews; and his faithful dachshund, Charlie.

In addition to his parents and loving wife, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, James Leon Adams.

The visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at White Oak Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Burial will be held in Guthrie Grove Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd., Greenville, SC 29607.
