Paddy Vaughn, 83, of Greenville, wife of the late Harold “Shorty” Dean Vaughn, died Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Born in Laurens, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Powers, Sr. and Sarah Burts Powers.

Paddy was a member of the choir and the Christine Sox Sunday School Class at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and DAR.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Lanford; one son, Carroll Vaughn (Debby); four grandchildren, Randy Vaughn, Justin Lanford (Lauren), Jessica Lanford (Sarah), and Jacob Lanford; two great grandchildren, Bennett and Emma Kate Lanford; and one brother, James Thomas Powers, Jr.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Paddie is my first cousin and I wish I could attend the funeral,but I live in Florida and my husband had a stroke and I can't leave him by himself to come. But I will be thinking of you all. Glenda Rae Power Gordon and husband Lee.
