Ray Coleman, 64, husband of Deborah Coleman, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019.
Born in Mound Bayou, MS, he was a son of the late Major and Ernestine Hayes Coleman.
Mr. Coleman served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He held a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering and worked as an engineer with Disney. He enjoyed photography and playing pool.
In addition to his wife of 34 years, he is survived by his children, Desiray Coleman Wright (Andre), and Ramone Hayes (Riza); grandchildren, Laiza Stovall, Leila Hayes, Ramone Hayes, Jr., Kayla Wright, Zoe Wright, Ethan Liv, and Harley Hayes; siblings, Steward Carter (Esma), Lena Wilson, Barbra Collins, Dorothy Jo Jackson, Marvin Carter (Katie), Melvin Carter (Addie), Beneva Felder (Willie), Majoretta Norvell (Sylvester), Vernon Coleman (Audra), Vernondale Coleman, Carl Coleman, Kevin Coleman (Bernice), Ronald Coleman, Michael Coleman, Elbert Coleman, Jamie Coleman, Steven Coleman, Joann Shivers (Tyrus), Sandra Hunter, Jimmy Hunter, Edard Hayes, and Contrina Hayes.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Walter Reed, Enos Hayes, Shirley Carmichael, Kenneth Carter, Thomas Coleman, Theodore Coleman, Velma Warren, Major Coleman, Jr., Wilma Jones, Christine Robinson, and numerous other loved ones.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
The family will be at the residence.
