Richard “Dickie” Melvin Davis, 76, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Fred and Della Hamilton Davis.
Dickie served as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad after 38 years as a Conductor.
He is survived by one son, Rusty Davis and wife, Savannah, of Powdersville; two granddaughters, Tenleigh Davis, and McKenna Davis; two sisters, Sylvia King, and Evelyn Lockee; and one brother, Ronald Davis.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. followed by a time of visitation.
