Ruby W. Cook, 90, wife of the late Lee Houston Cook, of Greenville, died Friday, September 7, 2018.
Born in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bertis Johnson and Charles Manley Wilburn, Sr. She retired from J.P. Stevens.
Mrs. Cook was a member of Berea First Baptist Church, Loyalty Sunday School class, Friendship Club, and the Berea Lions Club.
She is survived by two sons, Phillip Lee Cook (Nelda) of Spartanburg and Lyn Wilburn Cook, of Greenville; one brother, Charles M. Wilburn, Jr. (Jo Ellen) of Tucker, GA; sister-in-law Delores W. of Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Amy C. Simpson of Greenville, and Jamie C. Smith of Kansas City, KS; grandson, Russell Cook of Greenville; four great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack J. Wilburn and Robert Edward Wilburn.
The visitation will be held Monday, September 10, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Berea First Baptist Church’s Welcome Center, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery, West.
