Dear Shemenski family,

I am so sorry for the loss of Ruth.  While I did not know her personally, I felt a sense of the wonderful woman she was based on our conversations at Emory in the waiting room.  From her knitting club at the Panera Bread near my sister's house to the love I could feel from you, I know she was amazing.    You and your family have been in my prayers everyday.

Ruthie was one of my dearest friends, as she was to so many others.  She reflected God's love to everyone she met.  I cherish the years of our friendship with Ruthie and Michael in MA.  No matter the difficulties or health issues Ruthie faced, she was always joyful.  I will deeply miss our early am conversations on my way to work and her beautiful laughter.  So thankful God allowed us the opportunity to be together with Michael & Ruthie for a few days last Fall in Hilton Head. On August 4th her last text to me before her surgery was "will look forward to visiting with you once again... here or there!!"  I must wait to visit with my precious friend there! Our love and deepest condolences to Michael, Danny & Matt and their families.

Ruth will be missed by all. Always full of joy and loved to be with family and friends. Had the best green thumb around, could grow anything. A woman of God and beautiful person all around. We will miss her deeply.  Love and prayers for the family. God Bless.

Ruthie had a wonderful gift of making the friend she was talking to her  "very best friend".  She has friends all over the  country who will  really miss her.  I'm proud to say I am one of her friends.  Although we lived  859 miles away from each other, she was my prayer partner.  We had many prayer victories over the 16 years.  Yes, I will miss her  joyfulness, strength, wisdom, and love, but I celebrate her LIFE!   She  has made me a better person.  Praise the Lord for such wonderful gifts!   My  condolences and prayers to her family  and friends!  Love you all!

What a brave and gracious lady. I only met her recently but she was lovely and so upbeat.
