Stanley “Stan” Vernon Roddy, 71, of Greenville, died Sunday, December 31, 2017.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late W.G. and Edith Compton Roddy.
Stan served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Parker High School, class of 1964, and worked for Harbor Freight Tools. Stan was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two brothers, Tracy Roddy (Inez), of Travelers Rest, and Bill Roddy (Jean Ann), of Shelby, NC; four nieces; four nephews; and 15 great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with a memorial service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown chapel.
The family will be at the home of the brother, Tracy.
