Vangelia Ndreu Muzekari, age 98, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in Rome Georgia. Mrs. Muzekari’s daughters will always remember her as a devoted and loving wife, a person who was always giving and putting others first, and to them, quite simply – the best mother in the whole wide world! Matt Guche, Grandson left a message on August 22, 2018:
I miss my Granny and I love my Granny. She was loving, caring, loving, giving, loving, happy, loving. The theme is consistent like her generosity. She made me feel special like I was the only one that she ever treated special. One occasion, and there were many, has consistently filled my thoughts. When I was about 5, 6, 7 she took only me to the candy store. My brother and sister and the rest of my family did not know – it was our secret! We snuck out the back door by the kitchen without telling anybody. Once we scampered through the grass, unlocked the wire gate, closed it gently I knew we were safe as we marched down the alley to the candy store. What could be better at that age? Candy and being with Granny (exception: no age requirement existed to enjoy Granny’s company). After some years passed did I come to the realization that not only did my Mom know of the excursion but many others as well. Nonetheless that memory nor her kindness were tarnished at all. Scott, in his eulogy at Granny’s funeral, earmarked the same sentiments – Granny made you, and only you, feel special when she was with you. If anyone ever had a problem with Granny the problem did not originate with her – it was that person who had the problem. She was that kind of person.

It is a time for mourning but also a time to celebrate. Celebrate her life on earth and celebrate, Lord permitting, her life with Him. I hope she becomes an angel in his army of compassion.

I will use the ending of my Dad’s eulogy for my Grandad, my Granny’s husband, back in 1988 for Granny (none of my material is original and even that line was stolen!): When Granny passed away I’m sure the Lord said, “Good job, Vangelia. Great job, Vangelia. Thank you Vangelia.”

Naten e mire and une te duo shume. My Granny, my Granny, my Granny.

I have such fond memories of her after becoming a friend of Annette's since grade school. She taught me so many things and I especially remember her cooking skills which  introduced me to so many of her wonderful recipes. She always welcomed me into her home just like I was one of her own and I'm so happy to have had a chance to spend  time visiting with her through the years. My prayers and love go out to you for your loss.
