Grace Ellen Reid

Grace Ellen Bright Reid, 92, of Easley, widow of the late Joe Reid, died December 2, 2009. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late William A. Bright and Lillian Burns Bright Clary. Mrs. Reid retired from J. P. Stevens, Dunean Plant and has been a life-long member of Brandon Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Bayne and husband Frank E. Bayne, Sr., of Easley; five grandchildren, Frankie Bayne, Sherrie Brock, Cindy Lollis, Mark Reid and Christy Reid, all of Easley; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Bauers of Greenville. She was predeceased by a son, Sam Reid; two brothers; three step-brothers; and three sisters. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at 201 Pleasant Drive, Easley.
