Henry Wilson Worley, 78, loving husband for 43 years to Linda Gail Worley, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017.
Wilson was born in Clouds Cove, AL, and was the son of the late Henry James Worley and Gladys Bama Turner Worley, of Huntsville, AL.
Wilson proudly served in the United States Army, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring in 1999. Wilson worked as a real estate developer, focusing primarily on assisted living communities and was well known in the industry. As owner of National Retirement Corporation, Wilson developed many retirement and assisted living communities in South Carolina and through out the country.
Wilson was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church since 1984.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Kendra Worley Thornton (Wes), Henry Wilson Worley, II, and Lori Worley Gantt (Jim); one sister, Glenda Ann Worley Pierce (Carl); seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Worley Popham.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael Lutheran Church, with a visitation following in the Gathering area.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2617 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
