J.W. Mize

James William ?J.W.? Mize, 76, of 63 S. Fairfield Road, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at his residence. Born in Oconee County he was a son of the late Ralph and Thelma Mize. Mr. Mize retired from West Gantt First Baptist Church and Greenville Spartanburg Auto Auction. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Miller Mize, of the home; a son, Dale Mize and his wife Nora, of Knightdale, NC; a daughter, Tina McCoy and her husband Steve, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Bill McCoy and his wife Susie of Greenville, and Joy Abercrombie of Greenville; three step grandchildren, Stephanie Houghlin and her husband Tony of Sugar Hill, GA, Raymond Bonilla and his wife Sarah of Knightdale, NC, and Juliette Rouse and her husband Chris of Knightdale, NC; four great-grandchildren, Hailey, Austin and Tyler McCoy, and Emily Abercrombie; two step great-grandchildren, Kirsten Schuh and Kyle Rouse; and a sister-in-law, Deloris Mize, of Easley. He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Noah McCoy; two brothers, Rudolph and Winston Mize; and a sister, Audrey McElroy. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Friday at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence.
