Kenneth Michael Ols, 84, husband of Mary Agnes North Ols, of Greenville, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late John A. and Albina Kurka Ols.
Kenneth served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Reverend Paul O'Toole Council 10819, and Kairos Prison Ministry and Cursillo.
In addition to his loving wife, Kenneth is survived by three daughters, Theresa Ols Henderson (John), of Columbia, Mary Beth Ols Smith (Stacy), of Simpsonville, and Melissa Ols Solesbee (Lynn), of Greenville; two sons, Lt. Col. Kenneth Ols, USAF Ret. (Pamela Rodgers Ols), of Huntsville, AL, and John Ols, of Greenville; 12 grandchildren, Heather Knecht, William Ols, Matthew Ols, Emily Ols Long, Andrew Ols, Steven Henderson, Kenneth Henderson, Laura Henderson Szewczak, Zachary Smith, Hannah Smith, Anna Solesbee, and Benjamin Solesbee; four great grandchildren, Elijah Long, Asher Long, Madelyn Knecht, and Finnlee Szewczak; and a sister, Rosemary O. Hayes, of Cleveland, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ols.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
