Mario Joseph Capri, 96, of Greenville, husband of 68 years to the late Elsie Cecelia McGraw Capri, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Rolling Green Village following a period of declining health due to dementia.
Born in Gallitzin, PA, he was the son of the late Guido and Emma Sharretti Capri.
Mario proudly served in the U S Army during World War II earning a Purple Heart before being honorably discharged. He was employed as a welder at Andrews Air Force Base for more than 30 years before retiring and moving to Greenville.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Haines; a son, Glenn Capri (Eileen); grandchildren, Andrea Emanuel, Charles Haines, Andrew Weedon II, and Shawn Haines; and great grandchildren, Hunter Haines, Sydney Weedon, Chaz Haines and Emma Grace Haines. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Weedon.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:10 PM on Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
