Agnes Lee Phillips Freeman, 94, wife of the late John Benjamin Freeman, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of the late Joe Speed and Cora Grant Philips.

Mrs. Freeman was a retired weaver and was a member of Grove Station Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Danny Freeman and Pamela Frady; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Catherine and Clara Jo.

In addition to her parents and husband of 50 years, she was preceded in death by two children, Jerry Freeman and Elaine Freeman Webb; four brothers; and two sisters.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Grove Station Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family appreciates those in attendance following the CDC recommendations on wearing a mask and social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grove Station Baptist Church, 640 Piedmont Hwy, Piedmont, SC 29673; or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
