Barbara Ann T. Phillips, 76, beloved wife of 27 years to Gary Phillips, of Greenville, passed away, Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Nelson Turner and Elizabeth Crolley Turner.
Barbara was a member of Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church. She was a Grand Soloist & Grand Adah of the Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star. Barbara retired after thirty plus years as a real estate agent and appraiser, having owned and operated Action Agency. During her career she earned a lifetime membership to the Million Dollar Club for her hard work and dedication to her profession. Barbara had many accomplishments throughout her life, but her greatest joy and happiness came from the love of her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter, Gayling Wilson Fox (Kenny); bonus children, Lee Phillips, Barry Phillips (Sandy Crisp), Lori Winslow, and Kathy Phillips; grandchildren, Jessica Potter (Jeremy), A.J. Millis (Madeline), Casey Fox, Jarod Fox (April), Terah Sampler (Jason), Zack Mann, Matthew Turner; and many additional bonus grandchildren; over seventeen great grandchildren; sisters, Gaye Turner Vaughn (Keith), and Jo Branyon; and a brother, Ray Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandi Wilson Hayes; a bonus grandchild, Lyndsey Phillips; brothers, Lee and Don Turner; and a sister, Mary "Bit" Huff.
Although there will be no formal visitation, friends are welcome to pay their respects and leave notes of condolences for the family on Sunday, November 22, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 23, at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest Chapel. Those attending are encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines on Social Distancing and Wearing a Mask. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery West.
