Obituary

Charles Robert Crain, 90, husband of Louise Crain, died Sunday, March 22, 2020.

Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Fred and Leo Pettit Crain.

Charles was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a Master Sergeant. Mr. Crain was a member of Eastlan New Springs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Becky Denise Crain and Tammie Crain Kilgus (James); grandchildren, Brent Lucas (Brooke), Jennifer Hendley, Robert Taylor Massey and Rebekah Kilgus; great-grandson, Andrew Metcalf; four great-granddaughters, Ashlyn Metcalf, Adeline Lucas, Meredith Hendley, and Ella Hendley; sisters, Ruth Wright and Yvonne Hyatt (Steve); and a brother, James Crain (Jean).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Lynn Crain and sister, Doris Matthews.

Private graveside services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
