Obituary

Evelyn Moore Smith, 87, of Greenville, wife of the late Larry Woodruff Smith, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021.

Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Jule and Maude Bryson Moore.

Mrs. Smith was a loving and devoted homemaker and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two children; Glenda Gail Jennings and Charles Smith; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Julius "Woody" Smith; two sisters, Jeanette Wyatte and Hazel Tilson; three brothers, James, Harold and Ralph Moore.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.

Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
