Jason Michael Cobb, 44, of Greenville, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020, as a result of an accidental car collision. Born in Greenville, Jason was a beloved son of William R. Cobb and the late Marian Moreland Cobb.
He graduated from Riverside High School in Greer and attended Greenville Technical College before devoting himself to the full time care of his mother. Jason was selfless and kind and always enjoyed a unique friendship with his mom. Growing up, he easily made friends and maintained these relationships over the years. He was a great listener and could always be depended on when someone was in trouble.
While caring for his mother, Jason worked part-time bartending in the Downtown Greenville restaurant scene and made countless friends with customers and co-workers alike. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Cobby was the ultimate Carolina Gamecocks football fan and will be remembered for his giant heart and enormous sense of humor.
In addition to his father, he leaves behind two sisters, Susan Cobb Wright of Greenville, and Tracy Elaine Cobb of Florida; a brother, James Nicholas Needham; two nieces, Jamie Needham, and Jessica Pyjas and her husband, Eric; an adored great-nephew, Roman Pyjas; three aunts, Judy Taylor, Millicent Cobb, and Linda Moreland; and a faithful friend, Lily the Maltese.
Jason's casket will be carried by his friends, Brad Troy, Steve Shannon, David Black, Chuck Hopkins, Bob Houde, and Chad Manley.
