The memory of the day that Rachelle was visiting my family with ALL of my animals. Kaigua would beg to see them all even though he knew it was not good for his asthma. I would tease Rachelle that I was going to leave one on her doorstep in Greenville. Kaigua's kind and gentle spirit was evident as a small child. As he grew older it was evident that his love for God and mankind was going to be a driving force in his life...just like his mom! My heart is pouring out prayers to help the family through the times ahead. Know that I'm crying with you my friend and sister by choice.

We shall always remember Kaigua as a kind, considerate, generous and gentle soul who put others ahead of his needs. We will treasure and remember you as the 1st family member to receive a military hero's send off.... and your grave will represent all our forefathers who were buried in unmarked graves in unknown battle fields... I recall our tour of WW-2 Airforce Museum at Travis Airforce, California and will treasure that visit for rest of my life.

I was stunned and deeply saddened when learning of Kai’s passing. Although I didn’t know him very well, I would always look forward to seeing his smiling face on Sundays at Inspire Church. I stopped going regularly on Sundays after Covid, but when I did go, I knew Kai would be there. With his big smile. I was at least close enough to him to give him a big hug over the last couple years. He always had on a big smile, and was ready to engage in small talk or intelligent banter (I didn’t know he had opened his own business, but makes sense!) He was one of those guys who you didn’t need to know well to look forward to seeing him, and be comforted by his presence. I regret not talking to him more, and longer when I did. I will miss Kai, very much. My heard aches for his family, specifically Loraine, who I also enjoyed seeing around. My very deepest condolences. You are in my prayers.

I remember meeting Kai back in college. It was such a odd experience to say. We were never fond or close in school. But one day we both for some coincidence saw each other on base at the gym. After that day, we became really close. Going to the gym everyday, hanging out, meeting his wife Loraine. Also meeting his mother and brother. My family had the honor of meeting him as well and also spending New Years together a couple times. He became such a close brother to me in my life. He was also so open to conversations and having new experiences. He was such a motivation to myself. I could have never ask for a better best friend and brother. Before he left to Hawaii I printed out a photo of my brother Johnny, Kai, and myself for us to keep in our wallets. I heard that he still kept the photo after so many years in his wallet. And just warms my heart knowing he touched so many hearts in this lifetime. Especially mine. You’ll always be in my heart, Kaigua. I love you, brother.

I remember meeting Kai at the LAFB chapel! I’d never seen a man after God’s own heart like he was. He always had kind words and never hesitated to tell me what God wanted me to hear!
