Louise P. Lanier of Simpsonville, 73, devoted wife of 53 years to Wade Lanier, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
Born in Union, she was a daughter to the late Douglas E. Phillips and Anne Belle Fowler.
Louise was a devoted Christian and a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. She loved the Lord with a fierce passion that showed in everything that she did and was always willing and ready to help those in need. She had an astounding work ethic and retired from the Beattie Plant with over forty years of service.
Louise was an unbelievable woman; she was all things that are good in this world and was the heart of her family. She adored spending time making memories with her family from generation to generation, and she would go to the ends of the earth for her loved ones, spoiling them whenever she could. She was a gentle soul, but could be tough when needed. Her hobbies included baking, being involved in the church, traveling, shopping and finding a bargain. She was always on the go and enjoyed every minute. Christmas was her most favorite holiday, and she made sure it was a magical time for all of us. From the smell of cookies baking, to the sound of Christmas music playing, to the loud and chaotic overcrowded rooms. It was hectic, but it was priceless. That was Christmas at Granny’s; memories that we will cherish forever.
Louise was priceless, unforgettable, magical, joyful, pure at heart, and without a doubt, simply the best. She will be truly missed, but we know that she is dancing and singing her way through those pearly gates.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by children, Patricia Bridges and husband, Mark, of Gray Court, Nancy Chambers and husband, Paul, of Simpsonville, Wade Lanier Jr of Laurens, Robert Lanier and wife, Dawn, of Easley; grandchildren, Martin Bridges and wife, Kristy, Lisa Branyon and husband, Jason, Jason Galloway and wife, Sabrina, Robert Chambers and wife, Sarah, Drew Lanier and wife, Nicole, and Hunter Lanier; great-grandchildren, Madison Branyon, Jacob Bridges, Hannah Bridges, Katelyn Branyon, Michael Galloway, and Myles Branyon.
Louise was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Lipford, Elbert Phillips, and John Phillips.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
