Cathy Jollie left a message on June 30, 2020:
Dear Family,

I did not know your son, but wanted to offer my thoughts & prayers to you all. I, too graduated Wren years ago as did our daughters. Also my Dad was in the Navy during WWII (he was a cook on the USS Macdonough Destroyer), was at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed. The video honoring Perry touched my heart, especially seeing him in his uniform, hearing the Navy song & seeing the ships.

When God calls our loved ones home, He leaves the gift of memories for us to cherish. I am sure you all have many special memories to share with each other.

Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers at this time & in the days ahead. God's blessings.

Sincerely,

Cathy (Owen) Jollie

I wanted to say I am so sorry for what the family is going through right now. Perry worked at the complex I lived at and I just found out about his passing. This really breaks my heart. He was so friendly and kind, always waving, smiling and helping any way he could. He was a hard worker and I will miss seeing his face. My sympathy goes out to his family and anyone else who knew him. - Jason and Felicia Gallant

I am so very sorry to hear of Perry's passing. I met Perry when I 1st moved here back in 2012. He and my 2 sons Adam & Matt Frey were friends and went to school together and lived in the same complex. He was a very respectful young man back then and very sweet. I pray for your healing and may your son rest in peace in the arms of the angels. Sending you my heart felt condolences and prayers

I remember Perry from church and church camp at GCBC. He always had the sweetest smile and was always full of laughter. He had his whole life ahead of him, he was taken way too soon. Praying for the family during this difficult time.

I hope his mom and dad sees this. My name is Kameron Hinkle and I’m from Columbus Ohio but I moved to Easley SC and went to liberty with Perry for a brief time before moving back home but Perry was the most funny person I’ve ever met. The first time I met him, he had me crying tears of laughter. He was also one of the first people to talk to me and show me around and I thank Perry for that. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I’m just sad I lost a very good friend. I love you Perry
