Ruth McIntosh Blackston, 92, of Greenville, died Monday, January 17, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eldridge and Elizabeth Hensley McIntosh.

Ruth was a member of Monaghan Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Ron Blackston; daughters, Billie “Beth” Blackston and Sandra Montooth; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Davenport; and brothers, Rev. Claude McIntosh and Darrel McIntosh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many beloved brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Remembrance Mausoleum.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Berea Fire Department for their care and concern for mom over the years, and for Jeff with Provident Healthcare for the comfort that he brought our mother.
