Born May 24, 1948, in Greenville, he was the son of the late Roy Jefferson Reid, Jr. and Cleo Finley Reid.
Ronnie was born with cerebral palsy, but he worked hard to become independent and owned his own lawn care business. Ronnie was a blessing to everyone that knew him. He had a big heart with a smile and laugh that captured everyone he met. Ronnie was always concerned about others and loved all his nieces and nephews. He was an avid wrestling fan, loved country music, always kept up with the current news, and enjoyed the great outdoors.
Ronnie is survived by his loving siblings, Roger Allen Reid (Susan) of Easley, Shirley Lynn Simmons of Anderson, Donald Ray Reid, Sr. (Jodi) of Pelzer, and Lisa Renee White of St. Petersburg, FL; nephews, Ray Reid, Jr. (Niki), Joshua Reid (Caitlin), and Tanner Reid; a niece, Rebecca Olver (James); great nephews, Maddox and Cooper; and great nieces Madison, Charlotte, and Anna.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 07, 2020, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Welcome Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital, 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
The family will be at the home of Ray and Jodi Reid.
