Alli Caldwell

February 2, 1923 - June 6, 2013
Alli Laakso Caldwell, 90, widow of E.M. Caldwell, died Thursday, June 6, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Alina Ojanen Laakso. Mrs. Caldwell was retired from the Greenville County School District and was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Doherty and husband, Tom, of Greenville; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many loving and caring friends and family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Rob Caldwell. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 6000 Pelham Road, Suite B. Greenville, SC 29615.
