Amandel Lucille Howard Holcombe, 58, of Greenville, died Monday, April 18, 2011. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late J.R. Howard, Sr. and Ethel Lucille Welborn Howard and the loving wife for 36 years of Danny R. Holcombe. Mrs. Holcombe was a member of Westville Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Rusty Godfrey Melanie, Tommy Godfrey Angie and Michael Holcombe Christina, all of Greenville; nine grandchildren; a sister, Ann Mooney of Greenville; a brother, Joey Howard, Jr. of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Northwest chapel. Burial will follow the service at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the West Gantt Children's Ministry, c/o West Gantt First Baptist Church, 1452 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at the residence.
