Bobbie Elizabeth Helm, 77, wife of Alva Helm, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Nellie Burdette Smith. Bobbie was retired from banking and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her loving husband of 24 years, she was survived by her son Michael Craig, and wife, Gail; daughter, Sonya Deck, and husband, Mike; two grandsons, Tyler and Scott Deck; two sisters, Marlene Garrett and Molly Church; and two brothers, Tommy Smith and Truman Smith. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, NW from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, NW. Burial will follow at Graceland West Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mike and Sonya Deck.
