Charles Kernodle

Charles Kernodle, 65, of Greenville, husband of Jonell Westmoreland Kernodle for 44 years, died January 3, 2010. Born in Greensboro, NC, he was a son of Mary Ruth Freeman Kernodle and the late Douglas Dale Kernodle. Charles worked as the Parts Manager at Kia of Anderson and was a member of City View First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kernodle-Ivester and husband, Rodney of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Loren Taylor Ivester, Sutton Charles Ivester; two sisters, Mary Dale Whipkey of Atlanta, GA, Patricia Kernodle Robinson of Dacusville, SC; a brother, Robert Allen Kernodle of Duncan, SC; and eight nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at City View First Baptist Church, with burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 Noon – 1:15 p.m. at the church. The family will be at the residence.
