Charlie Burrell, 56, of 101 Deerpath Ct., died Wednesday, October 19, 2005. Born in Greenville County he was the son of the late George William and Dessie Orene Fowler Burrell. Charlie served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and was a member of Renfrew Baptist Church. He was a former employee of H & W Electric and was currently employed with Ward Electric. We know mother and daddy are rejoicing knowing you are coming home. We are sad, but we know you now have a new body with no more pain. You accepted Christ and ?oh? what a wonderful day. Working at Ward Electric you had a great time. We know how much you loved Cheryl and David. What great friends you have, Wayne Davis, Dick Holcombe, Jeff Drummond, Joe Baker, all your classmates from school and all your other friends. You said you wanted to give a testimony and what a testimony you left for us to share. You and Debra shared a special love through your beautiful daughter, Amanda Burrell Lawson and son-in-law Michael; your two sisters who love you so dearly, Dottie Burrell Watkins and Tom, Joy Burrell McCarson and Harry; your nieces and nephews who all love you, especially Lexie and Chase, who always ran to your room to see you, they will miss you so; your cousins and aunts who knew you were so very special; your fiancée Pam, who loved you more than you will ever know. You are with mother and daddy celebrating your 56th Birthday. The family will receive friends from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Renfrew Baptist Church. Burial will be in Grand View Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Ward, Wayne Davis, Jeff Drummond, Rusty Watkins, Kevin McCarson and Dick Holcombe. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Slater-Marietta High School Class of 1968.
