Frances Moody Green, 91, widow of Ralph D. Green, Jr., died Tuesday, August 15, 2017.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Josie White and L. F. Moody.
Frances was a graduate of Parker High School and worked at Pilot Freight. She volunteered at Shriners, Nile Red Hat Society and a member of City View Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ledwell (Don) and Deborah Green; three sons, Barry Green (Linda), Mickey Green (Lorrie) and Ralph “Pete” Green (Judy); two sisters, Pat McKinney and Iva Joe Elrod; fifteen grandchildren, Scott Stewart, Sonya Ledwell, Wendy Smith, Candace Landreth, Josh Ledwell, Amanda Russell, April Simmons, Derrick Ledwell, Samantha Turner, Rocky Turner, Kala Evans, Shawn Gaines, Michael Green, Corey Hooper and Kimberly Creswell; twenty-two great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Hooper; one son, Steven Green; two sisters, Doris Boswell and Connie Moody; and two brothers, Lon Moody and Leon Moody.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at their respective home.
