Gladys L. Childs, 96, of Slater, widow of Fred L. Childs, died on Monday, October 13, 2014. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Medlock; a son, Joe Childs; thirteen grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie Griffin. The visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
