Jane Pierce, 73, wife of Jerry Pierce for 57 years, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

Born in Anniston, AL, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Annie Mae Bowen Johnson.

Mrs. Pierce was a retired surgical technician. She was a member of Harvest Church of God in Anniston, AL and attended Tremont Church of God.

Surviving are daughter, Robin Pierce Ferguson and husband, Jim, of Mooresville, NC; son, Pastor Phil Pierce and wife, Bonita, of Greenville; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Lauren, Andrew, Landon, Chase, and Heath; five great grandchildren; a sister, Amber Johnson Shaw of Centre, AL; and a brother, Sylven Johnson of Anniston, AL.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be private.

The family will be at their respective homes.

So very sorry to hear of Jane's passing. I worked with Jane for many years at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston - she a scrub tech and I a secretary in surgery. She was a true inspiration to many people she came into contact with. Always had a smile on her face and made many people laugh. I am a better person for knowing Jane and it was a honor.
