Jessie Mae Allen Jones, 88, widow of Ben H. Jones, died Saturday, January 10, 2015. Born March 22, 1926, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late William and Fannie Allen. She was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Betty Price and Barbara Henderson James; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ethel Allen and a nephew. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Benny Jones; a brother, Charles Allen and a sister, Sarah Tompkins. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery West.
