Lee Hensley

Lee Hensley, 92, of Greenville, widow of Julia Hensley, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Born in Burnsville, NC, he was a son of the late John and Emma Shepherd Hensley. Mr. Hensley served in the United States Army and was of the Church of God faith. He is survived by eight children, Betty, Martha, Gordon Allen Vickie, Bobby Clark Tammie, Brian Hensley Beckey, Donnie Hensley Sherry, Jerry Hensley Leasa, and Harold Hensley Tracy; 15 grandchildren, Christy Coggins Tim, Robbie Clark Mary, Timothy Allen Brandy, Keitha Hensley, Amy Hensley, Davie Hensley, Jerry Hensley, Jr., Alexis Hensley, Caroline Hensley, Taylor Hensley, Olivia Hensley, Bobby Hensley, Tammy Hensley, Betty Lee Hensley, and Helen Hensley; 12 great grandchildren, Gracie, Jake, and Lacey Coggins, Hannah Allen Dalton, Breanna Clark, Aliyah Long, Amaya Hensley, Mason Passmore, Adriana Hensley, Victoria Basic, and Sara Hensley; three brothers, Willard and Conoe Hensley, and Mote Edwards; and a sister, Thelma Massey. He was preceded in death by nine brothers; a son, Robert Lee Hensley; and a great granddaughter, Mary-Ann Coggins. The visitation will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of the son, Jerry, 226 Clemson Ave., #38 Greenville, SC 29611.
