Lee Orman Riddley

Lee Orman Riddley, 84, of Greenville, loving husband of Betty Jean Rowe Riddley for 48 years, died September 3, 2010. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Claude Estee and Willie Sexton Riddley. Mr. Riddley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, in the Pacific and European Theaters, and retired as a communications specialist from Southern Bell. Lee was a member of Brandon Baptist Church, and attended the Adam and Eve Sunday School Class. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lynn Talley and her husband, Mike, of Marietta, SC, and Lynnette Stewart, and her husband, Lee, of Slabtown, SC; two sons, Rev. Ron Riddley, and his wife, Jan, of Monroe, NC, and Rick Riddley of Pelzer, SC; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and his sister, Mae R. Grogan of Easley, SC. Mr. Riddley was predeceased by three brothers, Louie, Charles and Jack Riddley. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2010 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
