Margaret Whiteside

Margaret B. Whiteside, 88, wife of J. E. Whiteside, died Monday, July 28, 2014. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Marjorie Anders Bishop. Mrs. Whiteside was retired machine operator from Steele Heddle and a member of Laurel Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 65 years, are daughter, Linda Bell and husband, Steve, of Arley, AL; son, Gary Whiteside and wife Lindsay Garraux, of Travelers Rest; sister, Elizabeth Snow of Mauldin; four grandchildren, Justin Bell and wife, Wendy, Lucas and Courtney Bell and Anna Whiteside; two great grandchildren, Colton and Camryn Bell. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Laurel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laurel Baptist Church, 2331 Laurens Road, Greenville, SC or a charity of one's choice.
