   Mary Duggan, 87, wife of the late John “Jack” P.  Duggan, Sr., passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018.

   Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Lastowecki.

   Mrs. Duggan was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

   She is survived by two daughters, Christine Burras and husband, Rex, and Karen Cronin and husband, Bob; one son, John P. Duggan, Jr. and wife, Janet; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Kathryn, Mary, Andrew, Kristen, Amy, Jack, Kevin, John Patrick, and Sean; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alex Dromerick; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.   

   She was preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie Dromerick; and a brother, Walter Dromerick.

   A recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. in the Southeast Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. in the M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

   Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, Attn: Matthew Harper, 1836 W. Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

So sorry to hear about Mary. I know the Lord is watching over her and that she is now with Jack. I am grateful for the time she gave to all of us young sailors so far from home.
