Mary Tollison Hill, of 596 Aspen Loop, Pawleys Island, SC, died Saturday, April 22, 2006. Born May 18, 1931, Mrs. Hill formerly resided in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC. She was the wife of Clarence Eugene Hill and the daughter of the late James Hoyt and Mamie Hewitt Tollison. Mrs. Hill attended Winthrop College and retired from Industrial Truck Sales and Service. She was a Hospice Volunteer for several years. In addition to her husband of nearly 55 years, she is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Lance Ferrell, Debbie and George Moody, Jackie and Corky Cross, and Kim and Lee Heine; a sister, Helen Bates and her husband Lewie; a sister-in-law, Catherine H. Scruggs; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2006 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, Inc., 2591 N. Fraser St., Georgetown, SC 29440.
